Is there a minimum age?
Riders must be 14 years or older to operate a bicycle on public roads.

Do you have child seats?
Yes, we have cargo bikes with passenger seats on the rear (weight limit 50kgs). We also provide child helmets with each rental of these bikes.

Where do I pick up the Bikes?
Currently we are only able to deliver the bikes to you.

What paperwork do I need?
To safeguard our bikes, we require a valid identification document (Passport or Malaysian Mykad) upon collection. Please bring this ID to meet with our drop off service.

What should I wear?
We recommend comfortable clothing, such as shorts, a lightweight jacket, and closed shoes. Malaysia’s weather can be variable, so it’s best to be prepared for both sunshine and cooler breezes. We do not recommend cycling in flip-flops. It is also strongly advised respect local customs and social norms, we do not advise riding topless.

Do I need to wear a helmet?
For safety and insurance purposes, all riders must wear helmets. We provide a range of high quality branded helmets that comply to EN1078, however, you are welcome to bring your own.

Do you have recommended cycling routes?
Yes, we can offer detailed route recommendations. Please discuss with us your expectations, fitness levels and riding experience and we can help to plan a detailed GPX route for you. There are many options for routes on Penang Island scenic paths, quiet roads, steep climbs, challenging trails, gravel roads and beautiful coastal and countryside views to name but a few.

Can i ride across the Penang Bridges?
It is illegal to ride a bicycle across either of the two Penang Bridges, except for during organsied events, such as during the yearly Penang Bridge Ride. If you do wish to cross over to the peninsular mainland you can use the ferry service which departs from the the ferry terminal situated on Weld Quay (Pengkalan Weld). This is a pedestrian and motorcycle ferry which operates to the Penang Sentral train station in Butterworth. Tickets can be bought before embarking.

What happens if the Bike gets damaged or stolen?
While the bike is in your care, you are responsible for any damage, loss, or theft up to the retail value of the Bike. Our bikes are meticulously maintained, and we expect riders to treat them respectfully. We won’t hold you responsible for normal wear and tear, but any damage from misuse or negligence may result in repair charges. A schedule of fees can be found here.

How can I help prevent theft?
Whenever possible, stay with the bike, or atleast leave it within sight, and if you must leave it parked up, please lock it securely. We provide each rental with a lock for added security. Lock the bike to secure fixtures like sturdy railings, posts, or bike stands, ensuring it’s in a safe location that doesn’t obstruct pedestrians.

Can I take out insurance?
We currently offer a daily rental insurance policy through our partner YAS Micro Insurance.

Do you require a deposit on my payment card?
Yes, we may reserve a deposit authorization on your payment card, similar to car rentals. The card must be in the name of the booking person and must match the identification provided at pick-up.

What if the weather is bad?
While we’re fortunate with generally good weather, we do experience occasional heavy rain or high winds. For safety and comfort, we recommend rescheduling if the weather turns severe, and we’ll work with you to arrange an alternate date if needed.
